Can Leftist Students tolerate Pro-Life Activism?
This morning, volunteers from TFP Student Action Europe held a campaign in Wageningen to talk to students about the grave injustice of abortion.
As is to be expected in an increasingly paganized society, perhaps many haven't even stopped to consider the issue seriously. Would they recognize that the unborn have rights arising precisely from their human nature?
‘I have already read the flyer’
Recently, the TFP had already carried out a campaign on the streets of the campus, reaching hundreds of students. So it came as no surprise when a student, upon receiving a new leaflet, replied: “I've already read the leaflet”. Enthusiastically, the young man explained that he didn't know that this kind of activism also took place in the Netherlands.
Even before the lunch break began, the volunteers distributed flyers in all the mailboxes in the student dormitories. Several students told us that they were already familiar with our actions, which shows that awareness of the pro-life cause is growing more and more.

Questions and Answers
Later, two interested students approached us to discuss our views on abortion. They brought up a challenging hypothesis: a woman who was sexually abused and became pregnant. Wouldn't it be better if that child wasn't born? Would it be fair for the woman to bear the responsibility for a child that would cause her so much emotional pain?
In response, the volunteer asked: “Does the act of violence committed against the mother diminish the humanity of the child in any way? This question raises a deep reflection: can we really put conditions on the intrinsic value of human life?”.
This question made the young people reconsider their initial positions, leading them to conclude that the value of a human being cannot be taken away by the circumstances of their birth.

Open Debate
Actions like this, carried out by pro-life organizations, are fundamental to ensuring that people have the opportunity to receive the pro-life message through open and respectful discussions. Countless testimonies from students give us the certainty that it is possible to proclaim our ideals in public spaces. Even those who identify themselves as liberals, who defend progress and freedom, now recognize that Christians use their freedom to warn and help others, driven by charity.
