Radical abortion advocate shouts at TFP volunteers - Day 1 of the Pro-Life Caravan

First campaign of the Pro-Life Caravan in Trier: Some radical abortion advocates try to harass the volunteers and to silence them. An elderly man yells at the volunteers and gives free rein to his anger. “To be honest, I'm actually enjoying this a little,” the man openly admits.

The TFP volunteers organize a campaign opposite the Porta Nigra on a busy shopping street. With our young volunteers, we want to make the residents of Trier aware of the terrible sin of abortion.
 

The reactions of the population vary greatly. Some of the passersby express their gratitude to us. "I lived under communism in Poland for 28 years. Yes, I know what it means to live under communism. I think what you are doing here is very, very good." This elderly lady sums it up. People realize that the fight against abortion is not just an isolated problem, but that atheism and the suppression of Christianity from public life necessarily lead to hatred of life and all that is good. That is the path to socialism.
 

This is also evident in the backlash. Some passersby, who outwardly appear to be on the left of the political spectrum and are carrying materials to a demonstration, shout insults and spurious arguments at the volunteers. But the volunteers respond calmly and try to engage in constructive discussion. However, the hecklers are not willing to discuss.

An older man who sees the TFP campaign angrily approaches the banner carriers and shouts at them. No arguments, just insults. The volunteers try to calm him down. They ask, “Do you have any substantive arguments?” He just says he doesn't want to say anything about the issue, he just wants to vent his outrage. He says several times that he just wants to yell at the volunteers and is not willing to discuss anything. He runs back and forth for a few more minutes, yelling at the volunteers.

He yells at the volunteers, who continue undeterred and smile. His reaction is that we shouldn't smile so mockingly.

What a reversal of virtue. We are calm, ready to discuss and listen to his arguments, while he is angry and confrontational.
 

The campaign continues for some time. Many people have heard our slogans. The rights of the unborn have, at least for a time, taken over the public space.

With the grace and protection of the Blessed Mother, abortion can be ended and the rights of the unborn can be recognized once again.

The TFP student movement continues to fight for the unborn. This caravan will send a decisive signal for the right to life in Germany. We are bringing the message of life to many German cities so that our young volunteers can courageously proclaim the truth.
