Reverent and Filial Petition to the Bishop of Antwerp, Johan Bonny

"Rainbow Masses" are contrary to Catholic morality, doctrine and unity!

On 20 November, the Diocese of Antwerp posted the following on its website and social media:

Are you gay, straight, lesbian, bi, trans, young or old, male or female, or do you still feel different, or maybe you are not sure yet, or prefer not to be pigeonholed? [...] Then you are definitely welcome to our Rainbow Eucharistic Celebration on Saturday 9 December at 7pm in the Parish Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Merksem (Antwerp). [1]

However, such "rainbow Eucharistic celebrations" are contrary to Catholic morality, doctrine and unity. It is a schismatic and heretical act.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) clearly states in number 2357:

Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.[2]

Some clerics teach exactly the opposite, with disastrous consequences for countless souls. For this, these clerics use mercy, understanding, and love as excuses. But wouldn't true mercy and love mean caring about the salvation of others?

If a person practicing homosexual sin wants to repent, we should undoubtedly receive him with mercy and love, repeating our Lord's words to the public sinner: "Go, [and] from now on do not sin any more." (John 8:11). That is, forsake sin, practice virtue, give up your vice.

We therefore filially but strongly call on Bishop Johan Bonny, Bishop of Antwerp to stop his promotion of this blatant sin and to:

  • Do everything in his power to ensure that such Mass celebrations no longer take place in his diocese,
  • To explain in detail to all relevant bodies in his diocese (parishes, pastoral units, etc.) why such mass celebrations are contrary to Catholic morality and the Catholic Magisterium and why this is a blasphemous event. So one lies even to those who supposedly want to "welcome" them.

For that reason, we pray to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary asking for the grace for a moral regeneration of our society.

Without deep regeneration, the family will be destroyed and with it the entire social tissue of our nation.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us, for we trust in You, through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother!
