Every year, over a million babies were aborted in the US. In short, the most fundamental right, that of life, which is the basis of all the others, were being denied to so many babies. Some may ask whether the unborn child is really a human. The answer is yes. Science tells us that the unborn baby has a distinct, unchanging, and unrepeatable genetic code, unique in all of history, from the moment of conception.
So how can we understand the statement in the title of this article?
This is what a "pro-choice" activist said during a debate with one of our volunteers in the city of Leuven, Belgium.
A few ventured to say that a child had better not be born if the state could not feed it with bread.
The inhabitants and tourists visiting the beautiful Flemish city, with its Gothic monuments, deeply marked by Christian civilisation, were certainly surprised to see our group of young volunteers praying the rosary in reparation for the sin of abortion on a Saturday morning.
The campaign's symbols attracted people and invited them to look at the larger crisis we see in our society.
Not only did we pray, but we also invited passers-by to take action. The time has never been better than now to raise awareness of the crime of abortion in Europe.
