Evil is unleashed upon America with Charlie Kirk’s Murder
The news of the shooting death of Charlie Kirk has stunned the world.
The president of Turning Point USA was a conservative leader who had long engaged in free and peaceful debate in the public square.
The 31-year-old father of two was shot while debating in front of a crowd at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The killer fired from atop a nearby building and ran from the scene.
Mr. Kirk never shied away from controversy and was willing to discuss all the hot-button issues of the day wherever he appeared. However, he was always respectful of those who opposed him. His calm, logical arguments often won the day.
While the single-shot murder left people aghast, it was not a complete surprise. Incidents like the hate-filled and satanic attack on schoolchildren at Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis tragically show how those like Mr. Kirk, who hold to some kind of moral law, are now targets of evil. The stabbing murder of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska on a train in North Carolina demonstrates the breakdown of a moral order to the point that any person can be an innocent victim of brutal attack.
Mr. Kirk’s murder clearly indicates that evil is now loose upon the nation. These acts are the consequence of liberal notions that good and evil are relative, criminals are not to be held responsible for their actions, and society is to be blamed for their individual wickedness.
When people do not believe in a moral law or sin, and officials minimize criminal acts, the scene is set for what happened in Utah. Evil people target those who, like Mr. Kirk, question their liberal and woke narratives and call for a return to order.
This shooting must be recognized for what it was: a cold-blooded and planned murder. It is an objectively evil act that must be condemned and prosecuted in the strongest terms.

At the same time, the cowardly crime must not be used to intimidate those who uphold a moral law, oppose sin and denounce evil. All these advocates of order who grieve for the nation have the right to be in the public square and proclaim their message, freely and peacefully. The vileness of this cowardly murder should only inspire God loving Westerners to redouble their efforts to return the nation to a moral and godly order.
Meanwhile, the prayers of all Christians, so reviled by liberal prayer-shamers, must be with Mr. Kirk and his grieving family.
